I just remember Kate watching Meesh's ballet on You-Tube one day. I was sitting at my desk and heard the song playing, looked over, and asked "What song is that?! Haha. I've been hooked ever since.

I'm glad to say, that as is the case with all good music, WTL found me. they came to play a show at my high school, and it was amazing. i specifically remember arguing with my friend Collier between their songs on weather or not JP was the same JP in the Profits. and sure enough, he was right. and now life is peachy keen.

My story is one of extreme coincidence and humor since We The Living seemed to find me rather than me finding them. It was the week of finals last year and I did not have any the following day. A brother of mine and I were hanging out around our ATO fraternity house at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, just drinking a bit and joking around. Four guys (JP, Ben, Matt, and Stefan), that looked like they had no idea where they were, came into our foyer just looking around. I asked if they were looking for someone to which JP replied, "We're a band called We The Living from Wisconsin and we're playing a show at The Verve tomorrow night. Would it be cool if we set up our equipment and played a show for you guys because we've asked around town and heard that this was a sweet place to hang out." Of course I was shocked and stoked at the same time. We called some people and got about 80 or so to show up and hear them play. The guys at the frat and I were instantly hooked and about half the house bought a CD. The next day consisted of Chinese food, another great show at The Verve, and hilarity with four of the funniest guys I'll ever meet. Since then, they've been back a few times here, I've seen them in Chicago and Cincinnati, and Ben even put in a good word with Cavashawn for us. As the trend seems to be, the rest is history.

Cool. That's one of the more interesting stories I've heard. How random. How lucky. That is one great story.

Welcome Paul. It's nice to get a male perspective around here to change things up a bit.

Thanks karik and Andrea. It did feel a little one sided in this forum for females. I'm glad to give my perspective since WTL is my favorite band by far! And just a side note, JP's facebook status says he's ready to make a new record!!!
