I don't know how many of you have used ringtones as a way to promote WTL
It's worked out really well down here, because everyone is always curious and asks who sings your ringtone, etc-- it's a easy way to begin a convo about the band.
Instructions:
1) Visit phonezoo.com/Register.do
2) Fill out the registration form
3) Once you’ve signed up you will have to confirm your cellphone through a text message confirmation code
4) After your phone number has been confirmed click on the “Ringtones” tabs
5) Click on the “Create From File” tab
6) Choose the file (MAKE SURE THE COPYRIGHTED CONTENT BOX IS CHECKED OFF) and click on upload
7) The file you selected will begin to upload and processed. They will perform copyright verification for the uploaded file. Please be patient. This step could take several minutes depending on your file size and connection speed
8) Once your file has been uploaded you will be redirected to an editing page where you may edit the ringtone to your liking
9) Once you are finished with this click on the “Send To Phone” tab
10) Depending on your phone carrier the following varies: You will receive a text message that will contain a URL address (e.g. on T-Mobile it will be Tzones)
11) According to your phone model you will be able to set it as your ringtone, if you have any questions refer to your phone carrier’s customer service.
Phonezoo allows users to create ringtones from Copyrighted content for use on THEIR phones ONLY. They restrict other people in the Phonezoo community from sending ringtones made from Copyrighted material directly to their phones.
