I'm sure there are other bands you love. Favorite band? Album? Song? What music inspired you? Anyone else obsessed with Lifehouse as badly as Amanda and Michele? ;D
My all time favorite band is Brand New. I love the lyrics and the music is so inspiring. I also love rocking out to Motion City Soundtrack and a local St. Louis band called Ludo. They just released a new cd about a week ago, you should give them a listen. I recommend Go-Getter Greg and Love Me Dead.

We The Living is my definite favorite--hands down. However, gardening, not architecture is second on the favorites list, as well as Castledoor, Priscilla Ahn, and the Cold War Kids. I am also a big time MAE fan and the Weakerthans make smile big time... Colplay is pure heaven and so is Pedro, the Lion...Lovedrug and Kate Nash can also be thrown in the list. Arctic Monkeys and Bayside make for amazing driving music and I am obsessed with the London Symphony Orchestra on ocassion. I love music that has real meaning and a deep foundation on something, if it lacks substance I am out x.

Haha, well as Devon already mentioned, I'm pretty big into Lifehouse. Other than them and WTL, I love Guster, Mute Math, and several Los Angeles-area bands that people may not have heard of, such as Everybody Else, Big City Rock, HoneyHoney, and more. I actually have a huge list of music I like, but I'm too lazy to list them all. Lately I've been digging Copeland a lot.

This World Fair is equal to We The Living on my list. (Which is #1.) Roster McCabe and Ari Herstand both come in at a close 2nd. I've also recently been introduced to The Kin and have enjoyed getting a feel for them. Joshua Radin and Good Luck Joes are also among my favorites.

I enjoy Dave Tamkin, Ari Herstand, & Bascom Hill, as far as local bands go. "Big" artists: Green Day. There are a lot of others that I enjoy (Lifehouse, The Fray, The Beatles, etc.) I throughly enjoy listening to Broadway soundtracks. I highly recommend Me First & the Gimme Gimmes. If you haven't heard of them, they're a punk cover band. Overall, I have a pretty wide variety of music in my iTunes.

I have the most bizarre music collection ever. It's got We The Living, of course, but a lot of Emily Haines, Joseph Arthur, Iron Maiden, Massive Attack, Placebo, Deltron, Alizée and probably everything in between.

I've heard of Me First & the Gimme Gimmes. My brother listens to them. He likes the punk cover stuff. Plays me things like the punk cover of "My Heart Will Go On" because he thinks it's funny. I think the song is still the song, it just has an edgier background track. Haha. I have nothing against punk cover bands.

The quicker tempo & change in background are the major differences. Speaking of punk bands, slightly entertaining WtL story..... Went to see the band @ The Annex in Madison, knowing they were playing w/ other bands. Didn't know they'd be last of 4 bands, with the first 3 all being punk/punk-like. (One of which did a punk cover of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?") It was definitely a case of "One of these things is not like the other." The audience for the 1st 3 bands consisted of mostly young boys. When WtL came on, there was a gender-switch in the audience. Now that I've typed it, it doesn't seem nearly as humorous. Oh well.

That's interesting. I would have laughed at the cover of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight". I think it is funny to see how when WTL are playing with other bands there is a definitie change in the air when they go on. People (mostly girls, hehe) get up, move up to the stage, and dance and get into the music. It's awesome.

You guys like good music (obviously), so some of mine are going to be repeats, but other bands that top my list right now besides WTL are: Lifehouse, MuteMath, Northern Room, Cedar Avenue, Roster McCabe, Ari Herstand, Snow Patrol, Jimmy Eat World, Coldplay, Catchpenny, Augustana, Quietdrive, Sing It Loud, Death Cab, Five Times August, Landon Pigg, A Fine Frenzy, Guster, Graham Colton, Ingram Hill, The Honorary Title, Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate...this list could go on forever. I love good music.

Lifehouse is beyond awesome. ;D
Among my huge list, there is also The Afters, Daughtry, Goo Goo Dolls...and I don't know if this really counts as a band, but Michelle Branch.

I just realized that for some crazy reason I don't have Marketa Iglova & Glen Hansard on my original list. They are absolutely amazing. x.
